Notices: Existe um instrumento no country chamado Pedal
Steel, raro e difícil de se manusear, muito imitado na
guitarra country por conter muitos bends (o bend é um
elemento muito popular do nosso instrumento). Temos
aqui alguns exemplos de frases country que utilizam a
sonoridade do Pedal Steel. Essas frases
normalmentesão tocadas com double stops, que é
tocar duas notas ao mesmo tempo combinando
intervalos de terças, sextas e quartas. No country os
double stops também são combinados com os bends
para imitar a sonoridade do pedal steel, completando
assim a técnica do estilo. Note que quando muitas
cordas são tocadas ao mesmo tempo, uma delas sofre
a ação de bends.
Com toda certeza esses licks vão enriquecer sua
técnica de bend e principalmente diversificar a
aplicação dos bends mais tradicionais.
Para exemplificar melhor os double stops, aqui vai um
exercício desta técnica aplicada à escala
pentatônica, em que combinamos muitos intervalos de
quartas, terças e sextas na hora de digitar o padrão da
escala. Essas sonoridades são muito comuns nos
